A series named after the natural satellites in our solar system. This one is DESDEMONA, a moon of Uranus. I’m making these in four sizes…only our moon will be in the largest size. This piece is the second size up.
Hand textured porcelain wall sculpture with a variety of textures, with red glaze and layered underglazes with spots of melted glass. The piece has been fired to 1250 degrees C. As the design is all the way around the piece it makes a great piece for a coffee table or the wall. The back is concave with a picture wire for hanging. (Photo of hanging method is an example.)
