A series named after the natural satellites in our solar system. This one is BESTLA, a moon of Saturn. I’m making these in four sizes…only our moon will be in the largest size. This piece is the smallest size.
Hand textured porcelain clay wall sculpture with a variety of textures, with various glazes, melted glass and underglazes. The piece has been fired to 1250 degrees C. As the design is all the way around the piece it makes a great piece for a coffee table or the wall. The back is concave with a picture wire for hanging. (I’ll add a hanging wire.)
