A series named after comets. This one is SHOEMAKER-LEVY 9, comets are usually named after who discovered them and you may remember this one (if you were around in the nineties,) as it broke apart and collided with Jupiter in 1994. I’m making these in a variety of sizes.
Hand textured porcelain wall sculpture with a variety of textures, coloured with layers of underglaze, melted glass and glaze. The piece has been fired to 1250 degrees C. The back is concave with a picture wire for hanging and the piece hangs at an angle. (Photo of hanging method is an example.)
